This very rapid sketch portrait was modelled while Grace, aged five, was herself modelling in clay. Like most of my heads it was modelled hollow in terra cotta clay and fired. It was cast in bronze for me as the Pangolin Prize 2001 at the exhibition of the Society of Portrait Sculptors.
